Work Order Types

A work order is a document or request that details the specific tasks, materials, and information needed to complete a request. In HxGN EAM there are several types of work orders. Below is a list of work order types and a description.

  1. Preventive maintenance work orders: Scheduled maintenance activities aimed at preventing equipment failure or degradation.

  2. Corrective maintenance work orders: Unplanned maintenance activities aimed at fixing equipment that has failed or is not functioning properly.

  3. Predictive maintenance work orders: Maintenance activities based on data analysis and monitoring to predict and prevent equipment failure.

  4. Breakdown maintenance work orders: Urgent maintenance activities aimed at restoring equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.

  5. Emergency maintenance work orders: Maintenance activities performed in response to an unexpected or critical event.

  6. Calibration work orders: Maintenance activities aimed at ensuring equipment is functioning within specified limits and tolerances.

  7. Inspection work orders: Maintenance activities aimed at verifying the condition of equipment and identifying any potential issues.

  8. Project work orders: Maintenance activities performed as part of a larger project, such as a renovation or expansion.

  9. Safety work orders: Maintenance activities aimed at ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel, such as safety checks, testing, and inspections.
