By following these tips, you can create and manage PM plans in HxGN EAM to help you improve the reliability and efficiency of your equipment.
To create a PM plan in HxGN EAM, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Work > WO Planning > PM Plans.
- Click New PM Plan.
- Enter a name and description for the PM plan.
- Select the PM schedule that you want to apply to the PM plan.
- Select the equipment that you want to include in the PM plan.
- Click Submit.
Once you have created a PM plan, you can view and edit it at any time by navigating to Work > WO Planning > PM Plans and selecting the PM plan that you want to view or edit.
To add activities to a PM plan:
- Navigate to Work > WO Planning > PM Plans.
- Select the PM plan to which you want to add activities.
- Click the Activities tab.
- Click Add PM Activity.
- Select the activity that you want to add to the PM plan.
- Click Submit.
You can also copy existing activities to a PM plan. To do this, select the activity that you want to copy and then click Copy PM Activity. The system will create a new activity and populate it with the information from the selected activity.
To generate PM work orders from a PM plan:
- Navigate to Work > WO Planning > PM Plans.
- Select the PM plan from which you want to generate PM work orders.
- Click the Generate Work Orders button.
- Select the date range for which you want to generate PM work orders.
- Select the equipment for which you want to generate PM work orders.
- Click Submit.
The system will generate PM work orders for the selected equipment and date range. You can then view and edit the PM work orders as needed.

- You can create PM plans for individual pieces of equipment or for groups of equipment.
- You can create PM plans for different types of maintenance, such as preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.
